the belt loosens, you will have to replace it as well.

How does the direct drive motor system works?
The motor is directly attached to the centre of the drum. This will increase it’s stability minimizes vibration, no frictional noise cause by the
belt pulley, increase its durability due to fewer moving parts and increases energy efficiency. The brushless motor rotates the drum directly
without the belt and pulley. The power which is delivered directly to the drum minimizes the vibration and noise while optimizing energy
consumption.
